2004 Cadillac XLR Hesitation

The Cadillac XLR was rolled out into the markets during 2003 Detroit Motor Show, and everyone simply loved it. However, when it hit the roads in the year 2004, there was only one concern amongst the potential customers; is it really worth its price tag? With launch of 2004 Cadillac XLR, hesitation was prevalent almost everywhere as one could easily afford a Mercedes Benz or a BMW 3-series at that price; and no one was sure of its performance either.

Should You Pick 2004 Cadillac XLR or Some Other High Performance Car?

That was the million dollar question coming out of the mouth of every other sport enthusiast who wanted to purchase a high performance car. BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, Toyota, Mercedes, and the likes of them had been already too famous in the market to dominate the section of high performance luxury cars; no wonder the 2004 Cadillac XLR hesitation continued to increase.

Was the 2004 Cadillac XLR Really Worth Your Money?

Six years down the line, if you ask this question today, perhaps the answer is “yes!” But, the hesitation created amongst the potential customers of 2004 XLR was perhaps so strong that XLR could never grab too much of market share even in the subsequent years.

Probably, Cadillac should have tried their luck marketing the new XLR at a lower price and then increasing it gradually to grab more market share and compete with the likes of Audi, VW, BMW, and Lexus.
