2004 Cadillac XLR Surging While Driving
2004 Cadillac XLR was an excellent roadster, which also had many of the abilities of a high class performance car. When you consider its exterior appearance, it greatly matched the Chevy Corvette, and these two models also shared plenty of mechanical features too.
Problems with 2004 Cadillac XLR
However, there are several short comings to the 2004 XLR. The most prominent issues was 2004 Cadillac XLR surging while driving at higher speeds, despite the presence of the magnetic ride control system. This was noticeable especially in case of cornering during speeds over 80-90mph.
Cadillac had also used the magneto-rheological shock fluid on the 2004 Cadillac XLR, though it was a new experiment and did not work out perfectly. As a result, Cadillac decided to revamp the XLR once again during 2006.
Improvements in 2006 and later models
They also came out with a high performance convertible version that could challenge the likes of Mercedes Benz SL500 and SL550 convertibles. Furthermore, Cadillac made good improvisations over the 2004 XLR, to present 2007 XLR as an awesome hardtop roadster.
If you’re looking for a used Cadillac XLR then you should look for 2006 XLR or other models released after 2006, because these have improved specs, needful features and the looks of latest generation high end roadsters.
