2009 Cadillac XLR

The new 2009 Cadillac XLR is set to be released next month, in July. There are only minor changes to this year’s model, with many design inspirations that are found in the Cadillac STS sedan model. Two different trims will be available to the consumer, the Platinum version and the performance XLR-V version. The standard Platinum trim with feature the 4.6L Northstar V8 that makes 320 horses, while the XLR-V will utilize a supercharged 4.4L V8 that makes 443 horsepower.

The most notable changes in this year’s model will include latest front and rear ends, new fog lights and a fresh looking grille. Side vents have been added to the model as well, and the hood used on the previous XLR-V will now be used as standard on both of the 2009 trims.

A new headliner from Alcantara will be used in the interior, along with new leather on the instrument panel, with an all new Bluetooth system.

  • The XLR is balanced with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
  • MPG: 15 City / 24 Highway

A Cadillac representative has said that 2009 will be the last year of production for the Cadillac XLR.
